Where Your Donation Goes — and Who's Accountable

We know that trusting a brand-new nonprofit with your money is a real decision. We want to be completely honest about where we stand, who is accountable, and exactly how donated funds will be used.

Our Legal Status

Where We Are Right Now

A Prodigal's Path is a new organization currently in the fundraising and development phase. We have not yet operated for a full fiscal year, which means we do not yet have an IRS Form 990 to publish — this annual filing is required once a nonprofit has completed its first full tax year. As soon as that filing exists, it will be posted on this page. In the meantime, every dollar raised is overseen by our full Board of Directors, and we welcome direct questions from any donor at any time.

Who Is Accountable

Every dollar donated to A Prodigal's Path is overseen by our full Board of Directors — not by any single individual. Karla Middleton serves as Treasurer and is directly responsible for financial stewardship. Letitia McDermott serves as Secretary and maintains official records. Beau Duty serves as legal counsel. Alongside a full board of community leaders, they hold the organization accountable to its mission.

Where Your Donation Goes

01

Facility & Housing

Securing and preparing a safe, structured residential facility where program participants can live and work together as a community.

02

03

Resident Support

Covering the basic needs of residents — food, clothing, healthcare, and daily essentials — so participants can focus entirely on transformation. The program is free to all accepted residents.
